Contact information: sebastian_lange@yahoo.com

CD: Das Dhoom is recording their first CD this summer! Stay tuned!
Bios:

James Whetzel is a uniquely eclectic performer. He plays both acoustic music and electronic music. He sings his own West African palmwine songs and he sings original songs inspired by Indian folk and Classical music while playing the fretless Indian lute called sarod. Also he recites "tabla poetry," which are spoken word pieces based on the mesmerizing beats of the Indian tabla drums. He is also a highly skilled and innovative Tuvan style throat singer. Shri Deepayan is a percussionist, DJ and producer. He was introduced to the wonderful world of tabla at the age of five and learnt the intricacies of the drum and taals for over a decade. He has showcased the versatility of TABLA, "the king of drums", with the swinging rhythms of flamenco, Jazz, trance, drum and bass, and is constantly searching for new ideas and sounds. Sebastian Lange is a classically trained violinist and electronic music composer. He has played violin since the age of 7 and is currently a student of Prof. Ronald Patterson at the University of Washington. Sebastian is especially fascinated with merging classical live intrumental music with an ecosystem of live triggered electronics and samples and believes a new age of live-electronic music convergence is upon us.

Solovox

A one-man synthesizer attack squad, Solovox is the sound of Portland's Carl
Tietze.  With decades of experience playing live and recording for bands of
every stripe, Solovox combines classic rock keyboard chops and the funk of
Herbie Hancock with modern electronic dance music.  Although he throws a few
DJ tracks in here and there, he mostly performs his own original
compositions and creates a live, hand-played style of dance party unlike
anything else.  A legend at the Burning Man festival, he performs on top of
mobile stages and has jammed with the likes of March Fourth Marching Band,
KJ Sawka, the Mutaytor, and countless others.  His music has been featured
on national television several times, and he has just had his song 'Turn On
The Light' chosen as a featured track in the upcoming Nintendo Wii game
'Helix.'  His website, www.solovox.com, features a free streaming radio
station with over five hours of his original music.

ZONE TWO: The dome

Ludington GT

Pulling double duty, GT both DJ’ed and performed a live PAs of his original music -- however this was not a dance set. He scored the 1927 movie Metropolis. For those in the dome, laying on pillows looking up and watching a silent film were treated to sheer brilliance by GT. For those that missed it, you better pray he does it again somewhere and you see it then.
